Cross Country Travels To Upstate Invitational

CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Spartanburg on Saturday morning for the Upstate Invitational held at the Roger Milliken Center.

The Blue Hose recently raced on this course for the 2011 Eye Opener to start their season. That race was delayed due to rain, and both races were combined into one start. Freshman Gabriele Lesieur (Augusta, Ga.) and sophomore Richard Taylor (Spartanburg, S.C.) led the teams through the less than ideal conditions.

The race will serve as the final tune-up before the Big South Championships on October 29. Carson-Newman, Claflin, Darton, Piedmont, Upstate, Wofford, and the Atlanta Track Club are also registered for the event. The women's race will start at 10 a.m. followed by the men's race at 10:45 a.m.
