Presbyterian College men's basketball head coach Gregg Nibert announced the signing of center Jake Campbell to a National Letter of Intent for the 2012-13 season.

"We are very excited about Jake (Campbell) joining our team," said Nibert.  "Jake is a very well-rounded individual and will excel in many different areas at Presbyterian College."

Campbell is a native of Centerville, Ohio, and is a senior at Centerville High School.  The 245-pound center was a scholar-athlete all four years, as well as three-year varsity letter winner, and was named Most Improved Player after his junior season.

He started in three Sectional Championship games, scoring 16 points and pulling down 14 rebounds in a key play-off game this past year which enabled Centerville to advance.

"Jake's an excellent student with great character and has tremendous potential as a basketball player.  Jake, who played for a great high school coach in Jim Staley, will work hard to be the best player he can be and I'm happy he's a Blue Hose."

Campbell also played AAU basketball as part of the Columbus Mustang Ballers.  The team won the National Championship at Fort Wayne, Ind., in 2009 and advanced to the Semifinals in Orlando, Fla., in 2011.

Campbell rounds out the 2012-13 class with guard Austin Anderson, guard Shea Jones and forward Matthew Citron, who signed NLIs during the early signing period.
