Clinton, S.C. – The Presbyterian College baseball team looked to rally once again on Saturday afternoon but Gardner-Webb thwarted the rally as they went on to earn the 5-4 victory to even up the series at a game apiece.

- Zacchaeus Rasberry reached base in three of his four plate appearance including a pair of walks to extend his reached base streak to five games in a row.
- Ashby Smith, Jeremiah Boyd, Michael Varga, Graham Mitchell and Luke Matthews all added hits for the Blue Hose this afternoon.
- Garrett Jones picked up his team-high sixth stolen base in pinch running duties in the bottom of the ninth.
- Smith scored two runs in the loss for his first multi run game of his career.
- Clark Dearman struck out a pair of Bulldogs over the final 2.1 innings to finish one off of his career-high three punchouts he’s had most recently at Davidson last week.

- The Bulldogs got the offense started in the opening inning as they had a pair of RBI singles and an RBI double to take the early 4-0 lead.
- PC got on the board in the third with a White sacrifice fly to make it 4-1.
- Gardner-Webb added a run on a two-out RBI single in the seventh to make it 5-1.
- Presbyterian responded in its half of the seventh with an RBI single from Michael Varga before Jeremiah Boyd scored on a double play to make it 5-3 after seven innings.
- In the ninth, Ashby Smith reached on a wild pitch strikeout which was followed by a Boyd walk before Graham Mitchell lined a single to left that scored Smith to make it 5-4 GWU. The Blue Hose would strand the tying and winning runs on the bases as the Bulldogs closed the door on the comeback to even the series at one apiece.
