DAVIDSON, N.C. - Gabe Grammer (Irmo, S.C.) delivered two crucial hits in two different games for the Presbyterian College baseball team on Sunday, hitting a walkoff home run in the 14th inning against Ohio for a 11-10 victory before giving the Blue Hose the eventual winning runs with a ninth-inning RBI double and earning the save to beat Davidson, 7-6.

PC improves to 3-9 after the day's action.

The Blue Hose will travel to Durham, N.C., for two games against NC Central on Tuesday and Wednesday. The first pitch on Tuesday is slated for 6 p.m.

PC 7, Davidson 6

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Down 6-5 heading into the ninth inning, Grammer hit a two-run RBI double to put the Blue Hose ahead and then took to the mound to secure the save over Davidson, 7-6.

Grammer went 3-for-6 against the Wildcats, one of four Blue Hose to post three hits. Robby Swab (Kemersville, N.C.) went 3-for-5 and drove in a game-high three RBI, while Jay Lizanich (Greer, S.C.) and Kenny Bryant (Goose Creek, S.C.) each hit safely three times as well.

Chad White (Suwanee, Ga.) picked up the win, the first of his career. The sophomore appeared in the eighth and allowed only one hit and no runs.

Davidson took a one-run lead in the eighth, using two walks and a double to score a pair and go ahead, 6-5. In the ninth, PC took two outs before freshman Lizanich and Billy Motroni (Goose Creek, S.C.) poked singles up the middle to bring up Grammer. The senior came through for the second time on Sunday, doubling to center field to bring around the rookies and give PC the lead, 7-6.

Grammer then took the mound and fanned two Wildcats to earn his second save of the season.

PC erased an early 1-0 Davidson lead by scoring two in the second and one in the third. Swab and Lizanich both put PC on the board in the second before Swab struck again in the third.

Davidson answered, however, tagging the Blue Hose for three in the third to re-take the lead. The Wildcats posted two hits and used a PC error to score three.

The Blue Hose went back up in the seventh. Tony Micklon (Sumter, S.C.) hit a leadoff single and Bryant brought the senior around with an RBI double to right center. Swab hit his third RBI of the day on a single to second to score Bryant and move PC back in front.

Davidson then went back up in the eighth to set the stage for PC's comeback heroics in the ninth.

PC 11, Ohio 10

DAVIDSON, N.C. - Grammer picked the perfect time for his first home run of the season, connecting with one on and two outs in the bottom of the 14th against Ohio to lift the Blue Hose to an 11-10 walkoff win in the team's first game on Sunday.

Trailing by one in the 14th, the Blue Hose led off with two outs but Billy Motroni (Goose Creek, S.C.) kept PC alive with a single to left field. With the batting order back to the top, Grammer lifted a ball over the right field fence to end the game with a two-run home run, 11-10.

Grammer and Lizanich paced PC with three hits in the first game as PC rallied back from a three-run deficit after two innings. Bryant picked up two RBI against the Bobcats as well.

Nick Ferguson (Lancaster, S.C.) earned the win with two and two-thirds inning of one hit, one-run ball.

Ohio took a 3-0 lead in the first but PC responded in the bottom of the frame, turning a Williams walk into a run thanks to a single from Micklon and an RBI base hit from Cam McRae (Darlington, S.C.)

PC tied the game in the third by taking advantage of Bobcat mistakes. A walk and an error put runners on the corners and another error brought one home. One batter later, a wild pitch brought Micklon and Andrew Williams (Augusta, Ga.) around to score and pull the Blue Hose even, 4-4.

PC grabbed its first lead of the game with three runs in the fifth inning, again by using Ohio errors to put runs on the board. Williams led off the inning by getting plunked by a pitch, followed by Micklon reaching on a throwing error. Bryant laced a single through the right side to score one and an eventual Ohio error allowed Bryant to score two batters later. Lizanich then brought home Brandon Paul (Augusta, Ga.) on an RBI single that gave the Blue Hose a 7-4 advantage.

Starter Chandler Knox (Columbia, S.C.) left the game after six solid innings of work. The sophomore allowed only two earned runs out of four overall and struck out four Bobcats on the day.

Ohio tied the game with three in the seventh. An error brought one runner aboard and Ben Otto cleared the bases with a two-run home run to right field. The Bobcats then used an HBP, a single and an error to strike one more time in the inning and catch PC at 7-7.

The teams played through three scoreless innings before Ohio found the scoreboard in extras. The Bobcats loaded the bases and managed to bring in two, forcing PC to answer in the bottom of the 11th. The Blue Hose did just that, as PC loaded the bases as well and Bryant cut the Ohio lead in half with a sacrifice fly to right. A wild pitch then allowed Micklon to score and send the game into the 12th.

The game moved into the 14th before Ohio used a walk and a double to take a 10-9 lead and again put the PC players' backs to the wall.
