Coastal Carolina hit over 40% to take down the Presbyterian College volleyball team in three sets Saturday afternoon in Conway, S.C. CCU took the three sets by scores of 25-17, 25-12, and 25-11.

PC falls to 3-22 overall and 1-10 in the Big South, while the Chanticleers improve to 19-4, 11-0. The Blue Hose return home for the final time this season with a Nov. 6, match against UNC Asheville, and a Nov. 7, match against Gardner-Webb. The matches, held at the Templeton Center, will start at 7 p.m., and 2 p.m., respectively.

Samantha Del Toro led PC with seven kills, with Ashton Stewart and Sierra Davis behind with four apiece. Sara Rogers added 19 assists, with Mikayla Register posting 11 digs. The Blue Hose recorded four total blocks, with Martina Shamley recording one block solo and two block assists. PC collected 22 kills and 18 errors for a .042 hitting percentage.

Coastal Carolina had 44 kills and just nine errors for a .417 hitting percentage. The Chanticleers recorded seven total blocks with Annayka Legros leading with two block solos and two block assists. Natasa Savovic came away with12 kills, followed by Leah Hardeman with nine. Sara Booth had 30 assist, while teammates Lian Bernett and Carla Cahill posted 10 digs each.

Leading by just four in the first, 12-9, Coastal offense opened up with a 5-1 run to take a 17-10 lead, extending to nine before settling on the 25-17 first set win. PC could not get any offense going in the second with the Chanticleers leading 7-0 early before extending it to 15-5 and eventually earning the 25-12 win. Much of the same in the third, Coastal led 10-5 early but used a 9-1 run to make it 19-6. The Chanticleers would go onto win the third set and match, 25-11.
