The Presbyterian College opened the Courtyard by Marriott Volleyball Classic with a 3-0 loss to host Wilmington Friday evening at Trask Coliseum in Wilmington, N.C. The Seahawks took the three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-15, and 25-3.

PC, which falls to 2-9 on the year, continues tournament action with two matches Saturday, beginning with Stetson at 10 a.m., and Maryland Eastern Shore at 5 p.m. UNC Wilmington improves to 7-3.

Leading the Blue Hose in kills were Rachel Elshoff, Ashton Stewart, Lena Gavin, and Sierra Davis, all of whom posted three kills apiece. Sara Rogers recorded 13 assists, with Mikayla Register coming away with eight digs.

The Seahawks were led by Kristin Powell with nine kills, followed by Nicole Lott with seven.

PC finished with 17 kills and 22 errors off 72 attacks, while UNCW totaled 37 kills and just eight errors for a .387 hitting percentage. Both teams had four total blocks.
