DAVIDSON, N.C. – The Presbyterian College men’s tennis team fell to Davidson, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon in Davidson, N.C. The Blue Hose now stand at 5-5 on the season, while the Wildcats improved to 8-2 on the year.

Davidson opened the match by taking two of three doubles matches to clinch the point. PC managed a 6-4 win on court two by Brandon Mills and Alexander Lykou. The Wildcats claimed court three, 6-4, and took a very tight match on court one, 7-6 (7-4), for the 1-0 lead in the match.

Singles would go in favor of Davidson as well, as they came out on top in five of the six matches. Joel Roberts recorded a 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) win on court six for PC’s lone point of the match. However, three of the matches would be decided in three sets. Mills on court three and Alejandro Bejar both came out on the wrong end of three-set decisions, as did Ben Kelley on court five, who forced extra points in a deciding tiebreak third set.

The Blue Hose return to action with its conference opener at Gardner-Webb on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
