AIKEN, SC – The Presbyterian College men’s golf team claimed 17th place at the 19th annual Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invite with a three-round score of 896 (293, 299, 304).

Davis Parker (Augusta, Ga) tied for 37th at 220 (71, 75, 74) and led the Blue Hose with eight birdies and one eagle on the par-70 Palmetto Golf Club course.

Park Brady (Saint Simons Island, Ga) shot 223 (72, 71, 80) and recorded a team-best 35 pars. Weston Sanders (Greenwood, SC) shot 224 (74, 77, 73), Carson Spears (Augusta, Ga) shot 229 (76, 76, 77) and Cole Patterson (Travelers Rest, SC) shot 254 (83, 83, 88).

South Carolina placed all five golfers in the top-10 en route to winning the team title with a combined score of 821. The Gamecocks’ Matthew NeSmith won medalist honors at 203 (-7).

The Blue Hose will return to play at the 47th annual Furman Invitational in Greenville, SC, from March 24-27.
