MORGANTON, NC – Presbyterian College’s Davis Parker earned his second top-10 finish of the year at the Donald Ross Intercollegiate on Tuesday while the men’s golf team finished tied for 6th out of 13 teams.

Parker (Augusta, Ga) tied for 4th with a three-round score of 208 (71, 68, 69). A trio of golfers including Jacksonville’s David Wicks and Franck Medale as well as Wofford’s Jeremy Grab shared medalist honors at 207 (-3).

The Blue Hose had their next three golfers within three strokes with Hayden Ploeger (Aiken, SC) tied for 24th (217), Cole Patterson (Travelers Rest, SC) tied for 29th (218) and Park Brady (Saint Simons Island, Ga) tied for 39th (220). James Scott (Atlanta, Ga) shot 225 (75, 76, 74) to tie for 56th.

Jacksonville won the team title with a combined score of 845 (272, 288, 285). Gardner-Webb (846) was second, Appalachian State (850) third, Wingate (859) fourth and Wofford (862) fifth. The Blue Hose tied for 6th with a team score of 863 (292, 286, 285). Evansville (863), Stetson (873), Bucknell (874), UT Arlington (877), Greensboro (889), High Point (890) and North Carolina Central (891) rounded out the field.

The Blue Hose will return to play at the Elon Phoenix Invitational in Burlington, N.C., from October 18-20.
