Men's Golf Travels To Big South Championship
CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College men's golf team will travel on Monnday to Ninety Six, S.C. to play in the 2012 Big South Men's Golf Championships hosted by Winthrop University at Grand Harbor's The Patriot Golf Club. The three-day, 54-hole event will be played April 16-18 on the par-72 course located on Lake Greenwood.
Fans will remember this as the same course from previous championships. The Patriot Golf Club was host to the event in 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. The tournament will begin with a practice round on Sunday, April 15.
The Big South Conference will announce half of its 2012 All-Conference team, which is based on regular-season performance, and the All-Academic Team on Sunday evening following the practice round. The 2012 annual award winners, as well as the remaining All-Conference performers based on Conference Championship finish, will be announced on Wednesday, April 18 during the post-Championship awards ceremony.
The Blue Hose will tee off at 8 a.m. on Monday along with number 7 seed Radford and number 8 seed High Point to start the first round. PC will not be eligible to win the tournament until 2012-13.
