ROCK HILL, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men’s soccer team dropped a Big South road decision with a 4-0 loss to Winthrop Wednesday at Eagle Field Wednesday afternoon.

The Blue Hose fell to 0-12-1, 0-5-1 in the Big South Conference, while the Eagles improved to 7-5-0, 5-0-0.

Winthrop found the back of the net four times in the first half from four different players. Magnus Thorsson scored in the 6th minute with an assist from Jordi Lluch, while Lluch scored in the 24th minute off a corner kick from Max Hasenstab. Hasenstab scored a goal of his own a minute later from Nil Vinyals and Chalres Coulson finished the scoring in the 38th minute with assists from Patrick Barnes and Marco Gatzke.

PC took eight shots in the match and put three on frame. John Speed (Decatur, Ga.) and Cade Crow (Liberty, Mo.) led the way for the Blue Hose with two shots each and put one on goal.

Johnny Archer collected one save in 70:17 minutes of play, while Connor Behrend gathered another save in 19:43 minutes of action.
