CLINTON, S.C. - The Presbyterian College men’s soccer team (2-11-0, 2-3-0 Big South) hosts the Radford Highlanders on Saturday evening at 6 p.m. in the team’s second-to-last home contest of 2011.

The Blue Hose will look to earn their 300th win in program history, as PC enters the match with a 299-273-49 all-time record dating back to 1977 after a 5-0 loss to High Point on the road Wednesday.

Radford enters Saturday’s contest with a 7-6-0 overall record and a 3-2 Big South Conference record. The Highlanders have not played since a 1-0 win over High Point on Saturday, marking their second straight victory after a taking 4-1 victory from Radford on October 12. Iyiola Awosika leads the team with eight goals and one assist. Ryan Taylor sees the majority of starts for Radford in net, carrying a 4-4-0 record and a 1.58 goals against average.

The two sides meet for the fourth time in history, playing each other every year since PC joined the Big South Conference in 2008. Radford leads the series 2-1-0, winning the 2008 (3-1) and 2010 (5-1) matches. PC won in 2009 with a 1-0 shutout in Clinton.

PC dropped its match to High Point on Wednesday night, 5-0, after allowing only one goal in the first half. Blue Hose goalkeeper Ethan Watson made six saves, three in each half. Byron Quinatoa tallied a shot on goal in the contest and leads the team with four goals and nine points. Freshman Ignacio Monchetti leads the team in assists heading into the weekend, with four.

The Blue Hose hit the road in a visit to Winthrop on Wednesday before coming back to Clinton for the team’s home finale agaisnt Coastal Carolina on Wednesday, November 2.
