NASHVILLE, TN. --- Rock Ya-Sin was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2nd round (34th overall) of the National Football League’s 2019 draft. He is the first player to be drafted from the Blue Hose football program since Justin Bethel was drafted to the Arizona Cardinals during the 2012 draft.
Ya-Sin ended his time at Presbyterian with several accolades and records. He earned a first team All-Conference nod during the 2017 season.
Ya-Sin tied Ed Britt for the PC D1 era career record for passes defensed with 24 breakups, while also finishing his PC career ranked third in interceptions with five.
During his time with Presbyterian, Ya-Sin recorded 95 tackles, 3.0 tackles for loss and had three fumble recoveries. He also set a Division 1 Blue Hose record with 13 passes defensed during the 2017 season while also recording five interceptions.
He participated in the 2019 Reese’s Senior Bowl held in Mobile, Alabama earlier this year.
