Blue Hose Prepare for Fan Day
The Presbyterian College football team will hold its annual Fan Day Saturday, August 18 at Bailey Memorial Stadium. Gates open at 9 a.m., with the team's final preseason scrimmage taking place at 10 a.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
Fans attending the festivities are asked to enter the stadium parking lots from East Maple Street. The road running along the front entrance to the stadium will be barricaded on both sides to accommodate the cyclists for Flight of the Dove.
Fans are invited to pick up 2012 football posters, magnets and schedule cards, as well as the 2012 fall sports posters and schedule cards.
Players will be available at the front of the stadium from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. to sign autographs. There will also be a kids zone set up with jump castles, face painting and a balloon artist. A scrimmage will follow at 10 a.m. and will last approximately and hour.
Prior to Fan Day, Flight of the Dove will take place. Flight of the Dove is the annual cycling event benefiting Hospice of Laurens County. It is in its fifth year of serving the terminally ill in Laurens County and surrounding areas. Event organizers are preparing for hundreds of cyclists, both local and regional, to join the other Blue Hose fans attending the scrimmage that morning.
