Integrating Technology and Football

Presbyterian College and the Blue Hose football team began this week with a new weapon in the coaching arsenal - the Apple Ipad.

Filming various drills from right in the middle of the action using the Ipad has put the coaching staff in a unique position to help their players.  Aside from watching film after practice, the players can now see video during it as well.

The coaches are able to critique the play right away and show the athletes what they did right and what they need to work on.  Utilizing the Ipad for instant video playback has helped the athletes learn more quickly as they develop into better football players.

Coaches have been able share feedback immediately in all facets of practice.

Sports Information compiled a short highlight video today after following assistant coach Matt Cain during practice as he used the Ipad to help the kickers and quarterbacks during various drills and plays.  Hear Head Coach Harold Nichols and quarterback Tamyn Garrick talk about how technology is helping the Blue Hose.
