CLINTON, S.C. - Presbyterian College junior golfers Micah Dowling and Matt Sizemore have been named to the 2012 Big South Conference Men's and Women's All-Academic Teams.

Dowling (Orlando, Fla.) earns the honor for a second-straight season.  Athletically this season, she tied the school record with a second round of 70 at the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate. She played in 14 rounds, averaging 78.86 strokes for the Blue Hose. In the classroom, she is a math major with a chemistry minor. Dowling has made the Dean's List five semesters and has a 3.68 GPA.

Sizemore (Richmond, Va.) earned Big South Tri-Golfer of the Week honors on October 21 after shooting a 7-under par 203 (66, 67, 69) which also tied the school record. Entering the tournament, Sizemore had played in 21 rounds for the Blue Hose, averaging a team-leading 74.67 strokes. In the classroom, he is majoring in business management and has made the Dean's List twice.

The Big South announced half of its All-Conference team as well as its All-Academic Team prior to each championship. The five All-Conference honorees earn their spot based on regular-season play and are voted by the head coaches. The All-Academic Team is comprised of one student-athlete from each of the Big South's men's golf playing members that meets the necessary criteria for selection.

The Big South announced the remainder of the women's awards after the conclusion of their third round.  The remaining men's awards will be announced on Wednesday.
