Blue Hose Finish Up At Conference Championship

NINETY-SIX, S.C. - The Presbyterian College women's golf team finished their 2012 season at the 2012 Big South Conference Women's Golf Championship on Wednesday. Participating on an invitation-only basis, the Blue Hose would have finished ninth (961; 318, 307, 336).

Junior Kim Carpenter (Tampa, Fla.) moved up to a tie for 20th place at 236 (86, 72, 78) and had the best final round for PC. Senior Carrie McClenaghan (Greenville, S.C.) fell out of the top-10 to finish tied for 25th at 238 (74, 79, 85). Fellow senior Kasay Holbrook (Dawsonville, Ga.) had the most consistent tournament for the Blue Hose, tying for 30th at 240 (78, 80, 82). Sophomore Kalie Goodman (Easley, S.C.) fell back to finish tied for 39th at 247 (80, 76, 91) while classmate Mary Kathryn Linder (Athens, Ga.) finished in 45th place at 263 (91, 81, 91).

Coastal Carolina's Brittany Henderson shot 214, -2 under par, to set a tournament record and win the individual conference title. Campbell hung on to fend off the defending champion Chanticleers with a three-round total of 890 (294, 300, 296).  Full results are attached to the article, along with a photo album from rounds one and three.

This was the final tournament of the season for the Blue Hose.
