CLINTON, S.C. – Softball's Kensley Loudermelk (Taylorsville, N.C.) and men's tennis's Grayson Mills (Lilburn, Ga.) were named Presbyterian College's Female and Male Athletes of the Week for their accomplishments on the field and court for the week ending April 22.

Mills captured Big South Conference Player of the Year honors last week and went 2-0 at the Big South Conference Championship. He compiled a Big South Conference-best 7-1 record at the top flight, downing Radford, Longwood, Liberty, Gardner-Webb, UNC Asheville, Coastal Carolina and Winthrop. Mills also earned three Big South Conference Player of the Week nods this season, more than any other League student-athlete, and went 22-4 in singles play. Mills’s 22 singles victories set a school Division I record as well.

Loudermelk went 2-0 with a 1.50 ERA, 12 strikeouts, six walks and two complete games last week for the Blue Hose to capture Big South Conference Pitcher of the Week honors.  The junior right-hander earned a 4-1 win over Gardner-Webb to start the week, striking out seven batters and allowing three hits, one earned run and one walk.  She added five strikeouts in an 11-2 win over Campbell, while going the distance and surrendering four hits and two earned runs.
