Zebedis, Taylor Named Student-Athletes of the Week

CLINTON, S.C. - Baseball C/1B Brad Zebedis (Rock Hill, S.C.) and softball C/2B Erin Taylor (Harrisburg, N.C.) were named Presbyterian College's Male and Female Athletes of the Week for their accomplishments the week ending April 29.

Zebedis helped PC to two wins last week, going 4-for-5 with two RBI to push PC past Charlotte on Tuesday before delivering a clutch 2-for-3 performance against Coastal Carolina in a narrow 5-3 win. His two RBI against the Chanticleers proved the distance, smacking a line drive with the bases loaded to plate two for what would be the difference. Zebedis hit in all for games last week and tallied 11 total bases, checking in with a .611 on-base percentage and a .647 slugging percentage. 

Taylor's two-RBI single in the sixth inning against Western Carolina kick-started PC's rally that saw the Blue Hose erase a 4-0 deficit and take the 5-4 eight-inning win. Her seventh-inning lead-off double was the first of four hits in a four-run inning that propelled the Blue Hose to the come-from-behind 6-2 win over Longwood. She also recorded a two-RBI double in the third inning against Longwood in the second game. It snapped a 1-1 tie and helped PC to the 4-2 win.

2012-13 Athletes of the Week
