CLINTON, S.C. - During the summer months, there are many items of note that
Presbyterian College fans and alumni should still be interested in.
Since July 1, there have been a few slight changes to
www.gobluehose.com that can enhance fans'
time spent on the site. Many of the 16 sports that PC has now have their full
schedule and result history posted online. While some sports are a work in
progress, the majority of the sports have a large percentage of their all-time
history online.
Another change to the web site is on the sport's roster pages. When the mouse
scrolls over the person's name, fans can now view the individual's head shots. If
one clicks the name of a returning student-athlete, there is an option to view every
athletic picture that the PC staff has uploaded of that given student-athlete.
While it is a tedious process, the athletic staff is steadily putting action
pictures of every student-athlete online.
On each of the fall sports pages, there is a countdown clock available until the first minute of play in the 2010 season. There will also be more changes in
the near future involving www.gobluehose.com.
While on the web site, make sure to check out the photo store. There are
several new pictures that have been uploaded to the site for purchase. If there
is a certain picture that one is looking for and cannot find, please contact
the sports information office with the request. Fans are also able to get a
piece of history as there are a few remaining media guides for sell from
various sports from the 2009-10 academic year. If one is interested in
purchasing a guide, please contact the sports information office at
864-833-8252 or e-mail Brent Hager at
bchager@presby.edu.
For the second consecutive year, the football office and the
sports information office have decided to allow fans to purchase the media guides.
There will be a limited number available for the upcoming 2010 season with a
cost of $20, which includes shipping.
As PC enters the final year of transition to a full-fledged Division I
institution, fans can follow all the up-to-the-minute news on twitter. The athletic
department's account is twitter.com/bluehosesports. After a few months away
from the site, the account is more active than ever and will continue to be the
only other spot fans can get Blue Hose breaking news (other than
www.gobluehose.com, the official web site
of Presbyterian College Athletics).
With football season fast approaching, fans still have time to purchase season
tickets. Blue Hose Nation also has the chance to buy tickets to Wake Forest and
Clemson, both of which are being broadcast via the internet on ESPN3.com. For
more information on tickets, contact Sherry Medlin by phone at 864-833-8240 or via
e-mail at skmedlin@presby.edu.
