Campbell shot over 50% from the field and held the Presbyterian College men’s basketball team to 35.8% in a 72-56 win in the Big South regular season finale for both teams in Buies Creek, N.C.  JC Younger led the Blue Hose with 16 points.

Radford shot 50.9%, including 57.7 in the second half, while PC shot 35.8%.  The Blue Hose hit seven three-pointers, with Campbell nailing 12 of them.  The Camels edged the Blue Hose on the boards, 34-30, with turnovers tied at six apiece.

JC Younger led the Blue Hose with nine rebounds and 16 points, helped by four three-pointers.  Davon Bell added 10 points and eight assists, with Reggie Dillard finishing with 11 points.  Chris Clemons led Campbell with 23 points, with Andre Eudy pulling down a team-leading six rebounds


How It Happened

Radford came out of the gates strong, outscoring PC 27-10 in the opening 11 minutes.  Six of the Highlanders’ 10 made baskets during the stretch were three-pointers.  PC rallied with 10 unanswered, helped by six from Davon Bell, to cut the margin to seven, 3:02 left.  Radford and PC traded baskets the remainder of the half, with the Highlanders going to the locker room leading 35-25.


Behind eight points from JC Younger in the first four and a half minutes of the second half, PC cut the Radford lead o six, 41-35.  Six straight from Radford put the home team up by 12, 13:53 to go.  After a six-point run by PC put the visitors behind by just 11, 61-50, 4:34 left, Radford closed out the game outscoring PC 11-6, to finish the game with the 72-56 win.



  • - With eight assists, Davon Bell tallied 163 assists for the season, breaking the PC Division I record for assists in a season.
