PC Notables 

• PC will play two neutral site games in Port Charlotte this Friday.


• PC and Mount Saint Mary’s will meet for the first time since 2010, when the Blue Hose dropped a neutral site game, 6-5, in Davidson, N.C.


• PC and Northeastern previously played twice, splitting games in 2014 in Port Charlotte, Fla., where both teams earned one-run victories.


• PC is ending a stretch that features seven of eight games away from Clinton. The Blue Hose began with two road games against Vanderbilt from Feb. 20-21. The team then played two neutral site games and a road game at Wofford last week. PC returned home to host USC Upstate on Tuesday and will end this stretch with two neutral site games in Port Charlotte, Fla., this Friday.


• The Blue Hose play five straight games at home next week beginning with a mid-week matchup against NC Central on Wednesday. PC will host a 4-game series versus Harvard from March 9-11.


• PC has won two in a row, earning a 9-2 victory over Wofford on Sunday and a 3-2 victory over USC Upstate on Tuesday.

Freshman Pitchers Make Debuts

• Through 10 games this season, six rookie PC hurlers have made their collegiate debuts.


Andrew Durden, Reagan Fowler, Maxx Harpalani, Patrick McNamara, Austin Paradis and Grayson Stoneking have each debuted on the bump for PC this year.


• Stoneking and Durden lead the way with four appearances among the freshman, while Harpalani and Paradis have each made three appearances and Fowler has made two.

Priaulx Heating Up


• AJ Priaulx is batting a team-high .375 (15-for-40) with three doubles, two homers, seven runs and nine RBIs. He also leads the team with a .600 slugging percentage and is second with a .419 on base percentage.


• Priaulx finished last weekend with a three-hit game at Wofford for his team-high fifth multi-hit game of the season.


• The senior hit a game-tying, 2-run homer on Tuesday against USC Upstate to log his second dinger of the year.

Senior Leadership at the Plate

Nick Wise got off to a hot start on the opening weekend, going 8-for-15 (.533) with four doubles, a triple, four runs and four RBIs in four games.


• Wise finished a homer shy of the cycle on Opening Day, as he went 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, two runs and three RBIs.


• Wise finished 2017 on a 4-game hit streak before starting this season with a 9-game hit streak that was broken this past week in PC’s 3-2 victory against USC Upstate on Feb. 27.



• Wise is 14-for-41 (.341) with five doubles, a triple, a homer, seven runs and six RBIs.


• The lefty has recorded four multi-hit games this season, second-most on the team.

Chock Excels in Season Debut


• Senior hurler Tanner Chock turned in a stellar in season debut on Feb. 25 against Wofford, going 6.0 innings and allowing just two runs on four hits with eight strikeouts against one walk.


• The righty retired 10 straight Terriers between the first and fourth innings.


• Chock did not allow a hit until the fifth inning and faced just three above the minimum over the first 5.0 innings.

Paradis Shines vs. Vandy

Austin Paradis made his first career start and second career appearance against 10th-ranked Vanderbilt on Feb. 20.


• Paradis worked 5.0 innings and allowed just runs on six hits with a strikeout against four walks.


• The lefty allowed just four base runners from the second through the fifth innings.

Miles Starting Strong

Eric Miles got the Opening Day start for the Blue Hose and earned the W against La Salle.


• The sophomore went 6.1 innings and allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits with three strikeouts against no walks.


• The righty is 2-1 this season, picking up the win against USC Upstate with 1.0 inning of work on Tuesday.


• Miles tied the PC Division I era single-season record last season with seven wins in his rookie campaign.
