GREENVILLE, SC – The Presbyterian College men’s golf team finished 19th at the Furman Intercollegiate on Sunday with a team score of 916 (314, 296, 306). Furman hosted the three-day event at the Furman GC (par-72, 7031 yards).
Carson Spears and Weston Sanders (t63) led the Blue Hose with identical scores of 228 (77, 75, 76). Both golfers ended with five birdies, and the duo even eagled the same par-5, 512-yard hole (No. 2) to start their second round on Saturday.
Haydon Norwood (t86) finished three strokes back at 231 (80, 72, 79). John David Chambers (90) was one stroke back at 232 (80, 74, 78). Harrison Fisher (t110) finished at 238 (80, 82, 76).
North Florida won the team title with a team score of 847. The Ospreys' Phillip Knowles won individual medalist honors at 207 (-9).
The Blue Hose will next play at the Wofford Invitational at the Spartanburg CC from April 8-10.
