Edinburg, Texas – The Presbyterian College men’s soccer team picked up its first win of the season topping Houston Baptist 2-1 Sunday afternoon.

How it Happened

PC scored in the opening minute of the game when Garrett Glaze found the back of the net from the top of the box after receiving a throw-in from Mason Lewis. HBU tied it up with 30 minutes left in the half on a shot from inside the box. Lewis scored in the 47th minute after a pair of passes from teammates Ricardo Hernandez and Sergio Pinto to put PC back on top for good.

Man of the Match

Lewis contributed on both goals with a goal scored and an assist.

Stat of the Game

The win marks Coach Potter's first win as head coach of the Blue Hose.

Record

PC improves to 1-3-0, while Houston Baptist falls to 1-2-1.
