Charlotte, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced that the Presbyterian College women’s golf team landed both the Big South Golfer of the Week (Maiken Bing Paulsen) and Freshman of the Week (Serina Combs) for events played October 5 – 11.

Paulsen tied for 38 at the prestigious Pinehurst Challenge with a collegiate-best 220 (+4) and helped the Blue Hose finish at 13 with the second-lowest team total in program history (892). The junior recorded a collegiate-best round of 69 (-3) on the final day which ranks as the second best all-time for PC and led the Big South at the tournament. She had nine birdies and 33 pars for the tournament which also ranked high among the 10 Big South golfers.

Combs was the top finishing freshman for the Big South at the prestigious Pinehurst Challenge as she tied for 72 with a collegiate-best 229 (76, 78, 75). She recorded a team-best 35 pars and helped the Blue Hose record their second-lowest team total in program history (892).

The Blue Hose are back in action on Monday and Tuesday at the Bill Berg Invitational in Hayesville, N.C.
