CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Presbyterian College women’s basketball team took a 47-44 lead in to the fourth quarter but a 23-6 run by Charlotte in the final period helped it withstand a late 12-0 run by PC, as the 49ers held on for the 71-63 victory in Charlotte on Sunday afternoon. The Blue Hose are still searching for its first win with a 0-4 record, while Charlotte improves to a 3-1 on the season.

PC forced 14 Charlotte turnovers in the game, while committing just five turnovers itself. The five turnovers are the fewest by PC since January 9 last season when PC also turned it over just five times against Liberty. The +9 turnover margin is PC’s best since March 1, 2016 when the Blue Hose recorded a +10 turnover margin against Radford.
