AIKEN, SC - The Presbyterian College men’s golf team finished the 21st annual Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate in 17th place with a combined score of 924 (304, 297, 323). Junior Weston Sanders led the Blue Hose with a cumulative +10 on the par-70, 6,617-yard Palmetto GC course.

Sanders shot 220 (71, 72, 77) to tie for 38th and led the team with seven birdies. John David Chambers tied for 79th at 234 (76, 77, 81), Carson Spears tied for 83rd with a score of 237 (78, 74, 85), Salil Ghamande finished 88th at 241 (84, 74, 83), and James Scott tied for 89th at 250 (79, 89, 82).

Virginia held on to win the team title by nine strokes with a 54-hole total of 840. Coastal Carolina's Daniel Overas defeated Georgia Southern's Jake Storey via a playoff as both golfers finished at 207 (-3).

The Blue Hose will play next at the Mission Inn Spring Spectacular from March 16-18 at the Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
