CLINTON, SC – The Presbyterian College men’s cross country team announced the addition of two runners to join the Blue Hose in the fall of 2018.
"We were happy to sign these guys during the early period," said head coach Thad Palmer. "They are great student-athletes who will compete to be in our top-5 and make our team better."
Luke Harmon is joining PC after six seasons of running cross country and track at Chapin High School for coach Jack Legrand. As a senior, he ran a PR of 17:03 at the Mike Moore Lake Murray Invitational. Harmon was a member of four-straight region championship teams from 2014-17. He received Chapin’s “Student Athlete Scholar Award” and “Academic Excellence Award.” He intends to major in business.
Zachary Kochert is joining PC after six seasons of running cross country and track at Irmo High School. As a senior, he ran a PR of 16:27 at the Mike Moore Lake Murray Invitational. Kochert led his team with a 26th place finish at the 5A SCHSL State Championship and a time of 16:49. He was voted team captain as a senior. He intends to major in physics.
