Presbyterian College sophomore outside hitter Erin Eulitz (Joliet, Ill.) has been named the Big South Volleyball Player of the Week, while middle hitter Allie Wright (Simpsonville, S.C.) is the conference’s Freshman of the Week for matches played Oct. 30-Nov. 5, the league announced Monday. High Point freshman libero Abby Bottomley (Virginia Beach, Va.) is the Defensive Player of the Week as well.

Eulitz led the Blue Hose to three wins last week where she recorded double-doubles in two matches. She had 44 kills (3.67 per set), 30 digs (2.50 per set) and 45.5 points (3.79 per set). Eulitz put down 15 kills with a .406 hitting percentage and 11 digs in a sweep over South Carolina State. She then tallied another 17 kills, a .350 hitting percentage and 13 digs in a victory over Liberty. She finished the week with 12 kills, six digs and a block in a five-set win over Gardner-Webb.

Wright was a key contributor in Presbyterian’s three wins last week. She tallied 34 kills (2.83 per set), 13 blocks (1.08 per set) and 44.5 points (3.71 per set). She notched 11 kills, two digs and three blocks against Liberty on Friday. Wright then added 15 kills, a .361 hitting percentage and eight blocks on Saturday versus Gardner-Webb.

Bottomley paced the Panthers with 31 digs in two wins last week (5.17 per set). She began the week with 13 digs in a sweep at home vs. Charleston Southern. Bottomley followed that up with 18 digs in another home sweep against Winthrop.
