Schedule Change

Due to Hurricane Florence and ensuring everyone's safety, the game has been moved up from its original scheduling of Saturday at 7:00 p.m.

Trial by Fire

The Blue Hose challenged themselves against several top-ranked teams early in 2018. PC scrimmaged No. 4 North Carolina during the preseason before battling No. 1 Wake Forest on September 4. PC also played No. 17 NC State on August 31, and the Wolfpack (4-0) have climbed the ranks to be No. 4 on Top Drawer Soccer’s Week 3 rankings.

Returning Champions

The Blue Hose returned nine starters from last year’s Big South Championship team. Those starters include: Clement Vannier, Jakob Luedtke, Luca Ziegler, Yacine Tchemmoun, Andrew Miller-Bell, Victor Menudier, Sergio Pinto, Ricardo Hernandez and Adrian Edo Martin. Vannier (five), Pinto (three) and Miller-Bell (three) combined for nearly half of last year's 23 goals scored.

Road Trip

The men’s soccer team is ending a four-game road trip that included back-to-back ranked ACC teams (No. 14 NC State, No. 1 Wake Forest), Furman and Georgia State. PC will next play at home on September 18 against Belmont University.

Last Season vs Georgia State

PC dropped a 2-0 decision last season at Martin Stadium off a pair of second-half goals from the Panthers’ Rashid Alarape. Both goals came off corner kick assists by Hannes Burmeister.

Scouting the Panthers

Georgia State picked up its fourth consecutive victory after knocking off Belmont 2-1 Tuesday night at E.S. Rose Park. Frank Rosenwald connected with Kwaku Adu-Boahene in the 40th minute who finished for his first goal of the season. George Proctor then extended the lead in the 60thminute off a free kick from 30 yards out.

Series History

The Panthers hold a 7-1 series lead, with PC’s win coming by a 3-2 score in 2009.
