CLINTON, S.C. --- The Presbyterian College football team held its ninth practice of preseason camp on a warm Saturday morning inside Bailey Memorial Stadium. The team worked through individual drills early in practice before transitioning to 11-on-11 work for the second half of practice with referees on hand.

“I thought this was where we would be after nine straight days to open fall camp,” commented head coach Tommy Spangler following Saturday’s scrimmage. "I have seen some good things over the first nine days but we still have some work to do over the next several weeks.”

The Blue Hose featured four players on the 2019 Big South All-Conference team as linebackers Colby Campbell and Jarrett Nagy earned the honor as well as wide receiver Keith Pearson and offensive lineman Eli Teeselink. Those four, in addition to defensive backs Rod Haygood and Dirk Cureton were named to Phil Steele’s Big South preseason team earlier this week.

“We will go back to work on Monday and continue to develop these guys as we continue to progress over the next several weeks,” said Spangler.

The Blue Hose will continue practice in the mornings from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The opening kickoff is in on August 31st at Stetson on ESPN+ with the home opener set for September 14th against Jacksonville inside Bailey Memorial Stadium.
