High Point, N.C. – The High Point University women’s basketball team defeated Presbyterian College 79-40 on Thursday evening at the Millis Center. Kacie Hall scored 13 points to lead PC and finished in double figures for the tenth consecutive game. The Panther’s Skyler Curran was the leading scorer with 15 points.
How It Happened
The Panthers built a 12-0 lead with Hall putting PC on the board with a pair of free throws six minutes into the game. High Point continued to score in bunches throughout the game and outshot PC by a difference of 45.8% (27-59) to 36.8% (14-38).
Presbyterian College shot 27.3% from three-point territory, sinking just 3-of-11 shots. High Point made a season-high 13 three-pointers and shot 54.2% (13-24) from behind the arc. Conversely, the Blue Hose scored 25 points in the paint compared to just 18 for the Panthers.
Bria Gibbs scored 10 points on 3-of-3 shooting from the floor and 4-of-6 shooting from the charity stripe. It was the most points for the freshman since scoring 13 at Davidson on December 18.
High Point had nine different players register at least five points, but just Curran (15) and Shea Morgan (13) finished in double-digits.

Presbyterian College falls to 3-11 (1-2 Big South), while High Point improves to 9-5 (2-1 Big South).
Presbyterian College returns home to play USC Upstate on Saturday, January 12, in a 2:00 pm game.
