CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College volleyball team was picked to finish sixth in the Big South Preseason Poll, released on Wednesday, August 1.
PC returns their three leaders in kills last season, Erin Eulitz, Allie Wright and Caroline Henderson, as well as their top two in assists, Jaclyn Brewington and Sierra Jones. Eulitz led the team with 352 kills last season and had an attack percentage of 16.3%. Wright led the Blue Hose in attack percentage at 24.2% and totaled 324 kills in 2017. Brewington topped PC with 654 assists last year.
Head Coach Korrinn Burgess, now in her sixth season at PC, has brought in a class of four freshmen for the 2018 season.
High Point was ranked first in the poll, receiving eight out of ten first place votes, followed by Radford and Campbell, who received one vote apiece. UNC Asheville and Winthrop were slotted at fourth and fifth. Rounding out the poll are USC Upstate, Charleston Southern, Hampton and Gardner-Webb.
The Blue Hose open their season at the Charlotte Invitational on Friday, August 24. Their Big South schedule will begin on Friday, September 21 with a home match against Hampton.
