CLINTON, S.C. –The Presbyterian College women’s lacrosse team has been recognized as an Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Zag Sports Academic Honor Squad for the 2017-18 academic year. In addition, class of 2018 graduates Kelty Fletcher and Ashley Wren along with rising seniors Natalie Barnett and Megan Dreyer have been named to the 2018 IWLCA Zag Sports Division I Academic Honor Roll.

This marks the fourth consecutive year the Blue Hose have earned the team accolade and third straight with players on the honor roll. This spring, the Blue Hose had three players post a perfect 4.0 and managed a team GPA of 3.51, its highest since joining the Big South.

Fletcher and Wren were both named to the Academic Honor Roll last season, and Fletcher earned a spot on the 2018 Big South Women's Lacrosse All-Academic Team.

There were 338 programs honored this year by the IWLCA across NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA schools. To qualify for the team honor, the women’s lacrosse team must have posted a 3.0 or higher team GPA for the academic year.

There were 462 student-athletes across 105 different institutions on the Honor Roll. To be eligible, student-athletes must be a junior, senior or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
