Myrtle Beach, S.C. – Sophomore Julie Hillestad shot 147 (73, 74) during the first day of the Golfweek Program Championship at the True Blue GC (par-72, 6034 yards) on Monday to lead the Presbyterian College women’s golf team to 14th place at 626 (319, 307).


Florida Atlantic (585) holds a narrow lead over High Point (586), Delaware (587), Upstate (588), Stetson (589) and Marshall (590). The Panther’s Sarah Kahn leads the race for medalist honors at four-under 140 (70, 70).



- Hillestad tied for 15th with a two-round score of 147 (73, 74). She recorded a par on 12 consecutive holes before shooting a birdie on her last hole of the day.

- Serina Combs tied for 37th at 151 (75, 76).

- Kelli Kragh improved to a 60th place tie at 159 (83, 76) in her collegiate debut. She also led the Blue Hose on the day with six birdies.

- Taylor Gardner finished 76th at 170 (88, 82) and Caroline Martin finished 77th at 171 (90, 81).

- This is the first tournament for the Blue Hose under new head coach Anne Marie Covar.
