Jacksonville, Fla. – The Presbyterian College softball team fell to Ball State on Saturday afternoon at the JU/UNF Spring Break Challenge, 3-0. PC is now 5-15-2 on the season.

 

Alyssa Batastini pitched her sixth complete game of the year in the loss. The redshirt junior collected three strikeouts while allowing three runs on five hits. Ball State’s leadoff hitter hit a home run to begin the game and the Cardinals would add a pair of insurance runs in the top of the third.

 

Batastini, Kiley Kross, Jonnie Petree, and Ansley Wilbanks each had a base hit on the afternoon. The Blue Hose threatened in the bottom of the first inning with runners on second and third and one out, but no runs crossed.

 

The Blue Hose will wrap up their time in Jacksonville on Sunday when they face La Salle at 11:30 a.m. and then play North Florida at 2:00 p.m. Live stats for both games can be found here. The match-up with North Florida will be live streamed. The link to the video stream can be found here.
