Clinton, S.C. – The Presbyterian College men’s tennis team and head coach Patrick Fediuk have announced the addition of Georgia to their schedule. The Blue Hose will travel to Athens to take on the Bulldogs on Thursday, February 14 at 2:30 p.m.

 

The Blue Hose are coming off a weekend where they split a Saturday doubleheader. PC defeated Lee 6-1 in the second match of the day after falling to Coastal Carolina earlier in the afternoon.

 

The pairings of Oscar Alvarez and Daniel Stenger and Jaime Castillo-Lopez and Vance Mercer clinched the doubles point for the Blue Hose against the Flames. Castillo-Lopez, Oscar Alvarez, and Alberto Conde earned straight-set wins in singles play. Elias Svensson and Stenger each picked up wins in three sets.

 

PC took an early lead against the Chanticleers by taking the doubles point. The teams of Alvarez and Stenger and Conde and Nicholas McKinney earned the point for the Blue Hose. McKinney recorded a win at number four singles, coming back from losing the first set 0-6 to finish the match as a 0-6, 6-3, 6-2 winner.
