CLINTON, S.C. - Presbyterian College and head coach Kasay Holbrook announced the 2018-19 women’s golf schedule on Thursday. The Blue Hose will compete in ten tournaments evenly split between the fall and spring seasons.
PC will return to four tournaments from last fall including the Golfweek Program Championship that was postponed last season due to inclement weather. The Blue Hose will also have familiar trips to the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate, the 2018 Pinehurst Challenge and the Terrier Intercollegiate. For the first time in program history, Holbrook and PC will host a match play event this fall at The Patriot GC in Ninety Six, S.C.
The spring portion of the schedule features three familiar tournaments in the Kiawah Island Intercollegiate, the Low Country Intercollegiate and the Big South Championship. The UNC-Asheville Spring Invitational and Edisto Island Invitational are new additions.
“We are excited to be playing in several of the same tournaments this year, as well as adding our own event to the mix,” said Coach Holbrook. “The schedule and our team have become more competitive over the last few seasons, and we look forward to building on those successes as well as reaching new heights.”
The season starts with a pair of September tournaments. The Golfweek Program Championship is being held September 9-11 at the Caledonia GC on Pawleys Island, S.C. The Lady Pirate Intercollegiate will then be September 17-18 at the Greenville CC in Greenville, N.C. The fall concludes with three October tournaments.
