PC Notables
Colton Springs was named the Big South’s Relief Pitcher of the week after the junior picked up a win and a save last week. Springs struck out 7 and did not allow a base runner over 3.0 innings of relief work against Longwood.
• PC won 2-of-3 games at home against Longwood over the weekend. Andrew Bladt recorded the decisive two-run double in the sixth inning during Friday’s 5-3 win, and Colton Chapman delivered a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 11th inning on Saturday to seal the 4-3 victory.
• PC picked up a 13-1 victory over HPU in Clinton last season. Their last road victory over the Panthers came as a part of a series win at High Point in 2012. PC took games two and three by scores of 3-1 and 7-2 respectively.

Scouting High Point
• High Point rallied from a 7-0 deficit in the sixth inning to take an 8-7 lead over Wake Forest in the ninth inning on Tuesday. Austen Zente hit the team’s first grand slam in over two years, but Wake Forest won, 9-8, with a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth.
• Hunter Lee leads the Panthers in batting average (.342), hits (64) and doubles (13). Austen Zente leads the team in runs (50), home runs (13), total bases (102) and stolen bases (23-of-24).
• From the mound, Rion Murrah (4-2) leads the team with five saves and a 1.83 ERA over 44.1 innings pitched (21 appearances). Andrew Gottfried leads the team in innings pitched (62.1) and strikeouts (62).
• High Point leads the Big South in hits (494), home runs (51), sac flies (23), slugging (.434) and WHIP (1.37) while also turning a league-best 49 double plays this season. The Panthers are also top-3 in doubles (78), triples (12), ERA (4.51), hits allowed per nine innings (8.17), on base percentage (.381) and runs (323).

• Senior AJ Priaulx ranks in the top-5 of the Big South for batting average (.353), hits (70), doubles (14), RBI (40), and total bases (102).
• Senior Nick Wise ranks fifth in the Big South with nine home runs this season.
• Junior Jonathan White leads the Big South in hits (71) and ranks in the top-5 for batting average (.351) and total bases (104).
• Sophomore Eric Miles ranks second in the Big South with six victories.
• Freshman Grayson Stoneking is tied for 6th in the Big South with 22 pitching appearances.

Big South Players of the Week
AJ Priaulx was named the Big South’s Player of the Week on March 12 after batting an astounding .722 (13-for-18) batting average and a pair of 5-for-5 performances over five games.
Colton Springs was named the Big South’s Reliever of the Week on May 14 after picking up a win and a save over 3 appearances and 4.0 innings of scoreless work. The junior shined in two appearances against Longwood, striking out seven and not allowing a base runner.

Team Effort Over South Carolina
• Seven different players recorded at least one hit against the Gamecocks.
• Nick Guimbarda went 2-for-3 with three runs and an RBI batting leadoff.
• Andrew DurdenAustin Paradis, and Grayson Stoneking combined to allow four runs on six hits over the first 6.2 innings of work.
• Russ Branch and Colton Springs did not allow a hit over the last 2.1 innings. In the bottom of the ninth, Springs needed just 13 pitches to strike out the side and pick up his first save of the season.

Going … Going … Gone!
• After hitting just 14 home runs over the first 26 games, the Blue Hose have heated up for 32 home runs over the last 25 games.
• Since March 29, PC has had ten different players record a home run and hit at least two home runs in 11-of-25 games.
• Nick Wise leads the team with nine home runs this season.

The Hits Keep Coming
• The Blue Hose rank third in the Big South with 464 hits (9.10 per game).
• Jonathan White leads the team with 23 multi-hit games this season.
• AJ Priaulx has hit a perfect 5-for-5 twice this season and 4-for-4 once. Jonathan White (5-for-5), Guy Casaceli (4-for-4) and Nick Guimbarda (3-for-3) have all had perfect days at the plate as well.
• PC has recorded two games with +18 hits for the first time since 2015 when the team had two 19-hit games and a 20-hit game.
