Radford, Va. – Radford scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning and held on as the Blue Hose rally fell short, 6-3 on Sunday afternoon in Radford, Va. Jonathan White and Nick Wise each finished 2-4 with solo home runs.
Player of the Game
Jackson Dean went seven innings on the afternoon and only allowed three earned runs. He struck out seven and did not surrender a single extra base hit. White and Wise each went 2-4 with solo home runs. For White it was fourth game in his last five played with a home run. It was game number 22 with two or more hits for White and he has two hits exactly in four of five games. For Wise it was game 14 with multiple hits.

Radford had a 9-6 advantage in hits.
Radford scored five runs on five hits and an error in the bottom of the first inning. PC answered with an RBI fielder’s choice from Connor Slagill to make it a 5-1 in the top of the second.
After allowing the five runs in the first inning, only three of which were earned, Dean threw six straight shutout innings. He only allowed three singles and struck out six over those six shutout innings. Overall he only allowed eight hits, all of which were singles, with seven strikeouts and three earned runs allowed.
The Blue Hose were able to get single runs in the top of the eighth and ninth inning off of solo home runs from White and Wise. They had runners on first and second with one out in the ninth but were unable to do anything more.

PC goes to 13-33 while Radford is 20-23.
This was the fourth game in the last five overall that White hit a home run.
