Radford, Va. – Radford scored five runs in the first and second innings on its way to winning game two of the three game series by a score of 8-4 on Saturday afternoon. Jonathan White and Colton Chapman led the way as each went 2-4 with a double.

Game Story

White led the game off with a hit. A walk a couple of errors and another base hit and the Blue Hose had an early 2-0 lead after the top of the first for the second game in a row. Radford answered with two of its own in the bottom of the first and then three in the bottom of the second and one in the bottom of the fourth to take a 6-2 lead.

In the sixth Chapman hit a double and came around to score on Connor Slagill’s single. The Highlanders also made an error leading to a second Blue Hose run that made it a 6-4 score. Radford answered with one of its own in the bottom of the sixth to regain a three run lead at 7-4 and then another came around to score on a sac fly in the bottom of the eighth made it 8-4.

For the Record

PC moves to 13-32 on the season while Radford is now 19-23.
