Rock Hill, S.C. – Winthrop scored 10 goals in the opening 11 minutes of play en route to a 21-4 win over the Blue Hose on Wednesday afternoon at Eagle Field in Rock Hill, S.C.

Winthrop controlled the game by controlling the draw controls as it finished with an 18-8 advantage.
Winthrop scored the first 15 goals of the game including 10 in the first 11 minutes of the contest. Sarah Marshall scored the Blue Hose’s first goal of the game at the 1:27 mark of the first half.
The Blue Hose and Eagles played a competitive second period with Winthrop winning the half 6-3. Claire Frase scored a pair of second half goals and Kathleen Gerrits also added a goal. Sophia Cuzzupe played the second half in goal allowing only six goals with four saves.
For the Record
PC drops to 2-10 and 0-2 in the Big South while Winthrop moves to 9-3 and 2-0 in the conference.
Frase finished with two goals, her second multi-goal game of the season.
Presbyterian returns home to face the Campbell Camels on Saturday, April 7 at 12:00 p.m. This game will serve as Senior Day for eight Blue Hose seniors.
