CLINTON, S.C. – Presbyterian College’s Thatcher Coleman hit a pinch-hit grand slam in the sixth inning to put PC up 8-5, and the Blue Hose did not look back as they cruised to a 13-7 win over Liberty at the PC Baseball Complex on Thursday. A fielder’s choice would then put Jack McLaughlin on first and brought Andrew Bladt home. Back-to-back walks scored White and made the score 11-5.
The Flames looked to rally again in the top of the seventh. Mathieu doubled to right and was brought home on a Jonathan Embry double, making the score 11-6. With two runners on, Ayden Karraker singled to right field. Embry tried to score, but was thrown out by Nick Wise at home to end the inning.
