Rock Hill, S.C. - The Presbyterian College baseball team fell to Winthrop in game two of a three game series by a score of 14-2. The Blue Hose fall to 5-15 (0-2 Big South) while the Eagles improve to 7-13 (2-0 Big South). Sunday’s game will start at 2 p.m.
How It Happened
In the first inning, Nick Guimbarda singled to left field on the first pitch. Jonathan White walked to give the Blue Hose two on with no outs. AJ Priaulx advanced the runners with a groundout, and Guimbarda would score on a wild pitch to put PC up 1-0. Jack McLaughlin drove in White to give PC the early 2-0 lead.
Winthrop replied with 14 runs over the next six innings. The Eagles manufactured the runs off 10 hits, seven walks, and two errors. Dillion Morton led the charge for the home team, going 2-3 with a three-run homer in the fourth inning. Nate Pawelczyk went 7 innings on the mound and had two strike outs against three walks.

Colton Springs (1-2) took the loss for PC giving up five runs on one hit and issuing eight walks over 2.1 innings.
Nate Pawelczyk (2-2) picks up the win for Winthrop after going 7.0 innings and giving up 2 runs on four hits.
PC and Winthrop will conclude their three-game series on Sunday with first pitch scheduled for 2 p.m.
