Clinton, S.C.- The Mountaineers of Mount St. Mary’s jumped out to a 13-0 lead at halftime on their way to a 16-0 win over the Blue Hose at Bailey Stadium on Wednesday afternoon in the rain. Taylor Johnson led the way with four ground balls and five draw controls in defeat.

Game Story

Carly Miller scored first just 1:52 minutes into the contest, she finished with two goals and two assists for the Mountaineers. The Blue Hose won three of the first four draw controls but in sloppy weather conditions were unable to maintain possession turning it over 22 times. The Mount also turned it over 16 times in the game.

In the second half PC limited the Mountaineers to just three goals and six shots. Presbyterian took five shots in each half to finish with 10, eight of which were on target but saved by the Mountaineers goalkeeper.

The Blue Hose move to 1-3 while the Mountaineers move to 3-1.
