CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women’s tennis team returns to action on Saturday, hosting Chattanooga at 2:30 p.m. at the Templeton Tennis Courts. The Blue Hose will then travel to Western Carolina on Sunday for a 1 p.m. match.
PC enters the match with a 3-3 record after falling to Wofford, 4-3, on Wednesday afternoon. The Mocs head in to Saturday with a 4-1 record after back-to-back 6-1 victories, while WCU enters the weekend with a 2-2 record.
PC and UTC are set to meet on the tennis courts for the first time. The Blue Hose and the Catamounts were scheduled to meet last season but the match was rained out. The last meeting between the two came in 2015, a 4-3 PC victory in Clinton.
Beth Taylor continues to lead PC, as she remains unbeaten at 6-0 this season, while Caroline Ferrari has won three straight matches at No. 5 to improve to 4-1 on the year. Freshman Samantha Calais has also managed a winning record in the early going with a 3-2 mark at No. 3 this season.
