CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women’s tennis team travels to Davidson on Saturday for a 10 a.m. match in Davidson, N.C. The Blue Hose were scheduled to also play Spartanburg Methodist in the afternoon but due to the threat of inclement weather that match has been cancelled.

PC returns to action after going 2-0 last week with wins over USC Upstate and Lee University. The Blue Hose sit at 3-1 on the year, while Davidson enters Saturday’s match with a 2-1 record with wins over Big South opponent Gardner-Webb (7-0) and UNC Asheville (7-0).

Beth Taylor was named the Big South Player of the Week on Wednesday, while freshman Samantha Calais was named the league’s Freshman of the Week. Taylor improved to 4-0 in singles this season with two wins last week and Calais recorded both a singles and doubles victory against USC Upstate.

PC and Davidson will meet on the tennis courts for the first time since PC moved to Division I.
