CLINTON, S.C. – The Presbyterian College women’s tennis team will play nine home matches at the Templeton Tennis Courts in the schedule announced by head coach Catherine Dunagan on Friday. PC looks on to build on one of its best seasons in Division I last season, returning the entire squad from a year ago.

“I am very excited about our schedule this season,” said Dunagan, who is set to begin her seventh season leading the program. “We have some great competition both in the Big South and out of conference, which includes a trip to Colorado. I am eager to see our team compete this spring after working hard this fall.”

PC opens the season on Jan. 27 at home against NC Central, its first home match to open the season since 2013. The Blue Hose open the road portion of the slate the following day, traveling to Charlotte on Jan. 28.

PC’s remaining non-conference home matches feature matchups against Lee (Feb. 3), Chattanooga (Feb. 17) and Kennesaw State (Feb. 23). In road non-conference action, the Blue Hose will make trips to USC Upstate (Feb. 2), Davidson (Feb. 10), Spartanburg Methodist (Feb. 10), Wofford (Feb. 14) and Western Carolina (Feb. 18), in addition to a trip to Colorado to take on Colorado State (Mar. 3) and Colorado Christian (Mar. 4).

The Blue Hose open Big South play with a trip to reigning conference champion Winthrop on Feb. 27. PC then returns home to face 2017 Big South runner-up Charleston Southern on Mar. 14.

PC will also host Longwood (Mar. 24), Liberty (Mar. 25), Radford (Apr. 7) and Gardner-Webb (Apr. 10) at the Templeton Tennis Courts this season. In remaining road conference action, PC travels to Campbell on Mar. 17 and UNC Asheville on Apr. 4.

The Big South Tournament will take place April 17-20 in Rock Hill, S.C. on the campus of Winthrop University.
