HAYESVILLE, NC – The Presbyterian College women’s golf team combined to shoot 625 (301, 324) at the Bill Berg Invitational on Monday. The Blue Hose are in seventh place and were led by the Big South Golfer of the Week, Maiken Bing Paulsen.
Paulsen shot 148 (71, 77) to end the day in third place and five strokes off Samford's Maddie Davis (143; 69, 74).
Also scoring for PC, Celia Mansour (T13) shot 153 (74, 79), Serina Combs (T40) shot 160 (78, 82), and Ann Elizabeth Gore (T50) shot 164 (78, 86). Rylie Marchman shot 180 (93, 87) to finish the day in 79th.
The Blue Hose started the tournament on a strong note. They were in first place after 18 holes, and their opening round of 301 was the lowest score recorded by a team on the day at the Ridges CC (par-72, 6,057 yards).
Richmond sits in first place with a narrow lead at 611 (302, 309).
