Elon, N.C. – The Presbyterian College men’s soccer team (1-2-0) fell to the Elon Phoenix (2-0-1)  by a 2-0 score at Rudd Field in Elon, N.C. on Saturday night.

How it happened:

The first half started off very slow as it was a defensive slugfest in the early going. The Phoenix finally cracked the score board at the 35:38 mark of the match. Jaiden Fortune was able to hook a shot from about 10 yards to the side of the goal following a pass from Elijah Agu.

The Blue Hose had several free kicks from inside 30 yards out but were never able to scratch the score board in the first half.

PC was able to get a few more looks at the goal in the second half but the Elon defense held them out. Elon tacked on an insurance goal in the 81st minute to secure the victory.
